The Road to Kilimanjaro

This is our goal.
At 19,331 feet, Tanzania’s Mount Kilimanjaro is the highest peak in Africa.
And in February of 2010, the staff of Alaska Mountain Guides will be leading us to the top.
There are many ways to get to the top of the mountain, but the route we’ll be taking is called the “Machame” route. It’s not the easiest way up, but it is apparently the most scenic, and offers the best acclimitization going to the top. The trip will take a total of 10 days, and we’ll be documenting every step of the journey, from prep to summit, right here on the blog. (We’ll also be filming all of it for the first season of No Your Limits, of course.)
